6 Winter Holiday Essentials to Make You Look & Feel Fancy

The winter holiday season is always hectic and busy, so there’s no time to waste. If you want to look your best during the holidays, here are six essential items that are sure to make you look and feel fancy!

1) The Perfect Fit
It can be tough to find clothing that fits right when shopping for a large winter coat. But, it’s also important not to sacrifice style in favor of fit; you want your coat to be warm, but you also want it to flatter your figure and draw attention away from trouble spots. To make sure you look and feel your best during colder months, keep these tips in mind

2) Statement Heels
Statement heels can instantly take an outfit from casual to party-ready. Statement heels are an easy way to dress up an otherwise simple getup—and, better yet, they give you a great reason for busting out that totally awesome new dress! There’s no denying how much fun it is donning high heels for a night out with friends or family—but at some point in your life, you probably told yourself high heels were only for fancy occasions. When it comes down to it, though, statement shoes are a lot more versatile than you may think—plus, they help make even basic ensembles look glamorous. Wear them on date nights, date dresses and of course any holiday parties!

3) Colorful Tights
Tights might not be at the top of your list, but think again. There are many reasons tights should be a mainstay in your winter wardrobe, and I’m here to prove it. They keep you warm without adding bulk, they make an outfit pop with color and pattern, and they’re like leg-lengthening magic. Not convinced?

4) A Bold Lip
It may seem counterintuitive, but pairing dark lips with a dark outfit can actually brighten your look. But in order to pull it off, you’ll want to make sure you choose a lipstick that is really pigmented. I personally love MAC lipsticks because they stay on forever (and I’m not being paid for that endorsement ;)). To amp up your simple outfit, pair your favorite red lippy with a black dress and statement necklace and you’ll instantly have people asking where you got your outfit from! An even easier way?

5) A Fur Coat
A long time ago, fur was used for warmth. Today’s furs are no different. Whether it’s a mink coat or a chinchilla jacket, fur is an excellent way to fight off those winter winds. A wool-blend coat is also great, but remember that anything with a high percentage of wool can be scratchy and feel stiff.

6) An Oversized Handbag
When you want a pop of color, an oversized handbag is a perfect way to go. The bags are great for holding all your holiday essentials and making them easily accessible. With so many festive colors available, it’s easy to find something that matches your outfit perfectly. Some even come with extra pockets for things like keys or small hand warmers, which makes getting ready that much easier. And since you can get them in just about any price range, there’s no reason not to have one!
